Course
description:
Explore the art of Haute Couture Fashion Illustration with the fundamentals
of elegant designs. Develop sophisticated sketches with luxurious line,
proportion, and balance starting with the fashion face, hair, and hands
using exclusive French Couture artistic methods in pencil.
Continue study to learn how to develop and draw
fundamental fashion figures using European colors. Stress the movement and
proportions of fashion figures and garment details through analysis of
photographs and figure research as a basis for the creation of fashion
design sketches in watercolor.

description:
Learn quickly how to make amazing clothes, using our exceptional French
Couture tailoring method to draft patterns. Discover the secrets of
measurement that set French Couture apart with its impeccably fitting
results.
Learn how to make a basic pattern to your measurements. Translate this paper
pattern into muslin to test, cut your fabrics, and then sew your final
garment together.
Through continued study you will learn progressively how
to make more sophisticated garments: The Basics to make Skirts,
Tops, and Creative Short Pants.

This introductory Fashion Camp is conceived to awaken creativity,
motivation, and a sense of achievement among participants.
The techniques explored in this program are foundations of the
precision and excellence that define Haute Couture.
In an intimate setting of learning, participants develop a
refined eye for silhouettes and proportion in true Haute Couture fashion.
Course descriptions:
Couture Fashion Sketching:
Explore the art of Haute Couture Fashion Illustration with the fundamentals
of elegant designs. Create sophisticated sketches with luxurious line,
proportion, and balance.
European Color:
Foster
creativity through analysis of color schemes and special use of intensity,
value, and hue incorporating European color theory as developed in Western
oil painting tradition.
Couture Pattern Design: Make elegant, luxury finish French
Couture clothes. Discover the secrets of measurement that set French Couture
apart with its impeccable fit results.
Modèle Vivant:
Understand
the elements of the human figure and how to render a three dimensional
figure on a two dimensional surface. Focus on the proportions of the human
figure, gesture, rhythm, and anatomy starting from objects of different
textures in perspective.
Mini ‘Fashion Show’:
Sessions end with Mini ‘Fashion Show’ displaying designers’ unique
creativity reflected in an impeccable fit and elegantly sewn Couture garment
and sophisticated Couture illustrations.
This camp specializes in the transformation of unique creators
into mature sophisticated artists of high level techniques reflected in
Couture Fashion.
